Vasti

Vasti is a treatment designed to deliver medicated oil to a specific location for a set length of time. A dough ring is used to form a barrier and warm medicated oil is poured inside. Following the application of the oil, a massage is given to the surrounding area to alleviate and tension. There are different types of vasti available, which are described below:

Kati Vasti - Lower Back

This vasti is for the lower back. A dough ring is placed over the lower back and/or sacrum area. Depending on the reason for treatment, different types of medicated oil will be selected to treat the area. The oil is warmed and poured into the dough ring where it sits on the skin for 30 minutes. Following this the oil is removed and the lower back and hips massaged to remove any remaining tension. This treatment is perfect for anyone suffering with lower back pain.

60 Minutes - £60

Janu Vasti - Knees

Dough rings are placed over one or both knees and warm medicated oil is poured on top. The oil sits for 30 minutes and is followed by massage of the surrounding muscles to help remove and tension. This treatment is perfect for those suffering with knee pain.

Anaharta Uro Vasti - Heart Chakra

This beautiful treatment is designed to help those with chest or respiratory conditions. In addition, because of the location of the vasti over the heart, this treatment can work with the heart chakra to open the channel allowing a release of emotions stored in this area.

A dough ring is placed over the heart chakra and warm medicated oil poured inside. The oil is allowed to sit for 30 minutes before removal when you'll be guided through a grounding exercise before your treatment comes to an end.

Because the chest is often a vessel for storing emotional pain, grief, stress and trauma, this vasti can provide focused healing for this area.  Please note that this treatment should not be used a substitute but instead as an complimentary aid to professional therapy designed to process trauma, grief or other emotional processing.
